Service as a factor for success

TCS embodies a service-centered corporate culture - beginning in the development and production, via the employees to individual spare parts. In the past, this service concept always has helped us to offer market-conform and reliable system technology to our customers, to continually develop this and establish TCS step by step as a recognized competent brand for building communication.

A business model beyond the project

TCS is not only focusing on products for standard application, e.g. door intercoms, but is also a project partner for large and special projects. The TCS business model is thus based on a central approach: listening, understanding and offering individual solutions. Each of our projects starts with comprehending the respective requirements of the building owner, evaluating the alternatives and developing a solution, which will fulfill the requirements. As a result, we place special value on a holistic understanding of the project task for not only offering the best technological but also the best long-term and economic implementation.

The business model does not end with the successful project completion, but will rather continue with a broad service offer including maintenance, additional services, upgrading and extention of already installed systems. TCS provides comprehensive service with tailor-made service contracts throughout the lifetime of the supplied systems. By means of these offers we expand and intensify our customer relations. Thereby, we not only support the installing specialised companies and system integrators, but also the operators and owners of the facilities. This approach recognisably differentiates TCS from competitors and has led via long-term contacts with customers and trusting customer relationships to the final success. 

In the specialised trade TCS is more famous for system solutions in the fields of door and building communication, video surveillance and access control than for single products. For the daily use in these application fields solid and visually appealing facilities can be assembled out of the easy understandable core range. With our market unique service products installers find the ideal support for installing time- and cost-efficient.

A global operating medium-sized company

As a global operating medium-sized company TCS gained a lot of experience in the international project business with building communication and automation for years. In Germany TCS additionally distributes products for standard applications in the electrical wholesale trade for the electrical trade. Small and medium-sized facilities for door and building communication as well as surveillance are the main focus of this distribution channel. We therefore cover both: offering solid standard solutions and, in the meantime, designing and implementing sophisticated large and specific facilities. This is not a every day seen approach in our branch and, therefore, TCS is positioned accordingly.

Present in Germany and thoughout the world

The headquarters of TCS AG in Germany is in Genthin, Saxony-Anhalt. Here is the centre forresearch and development, a part of metall processing, final assembly, the administration and a center for distribution and training. Furthermore, at the location in Triberg in the Black Forest are manufactured individual productions meeting the respective customer needs in particular.

TCS maintains subsidiaries in Austria, Serbia and Turkey as well as in India, Hong Kong and Shanghai. All activities related to the Asia region are managed by the TCS subsidiary Intelligent Building Technology (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. in China - a dynamically growing subsidiary regarding development, distribution and production. 

The partner companies of the TCS group include the René Koch AG as market leader in Swiss, the companies Scantron and Qualitronic in Scandinavia as well as NIKO, which is a well-known brand in the Benelux countries. With additional distribution partners TCS is represented in Eastern Europe, Russia, Italy and Greece and offers support for project planning, installation and maintanance of systems in these countries.

A OEM partner of industry

TCS is not only developing, producing and distributing products for its own sale. Instead, TCS has continually developed into a system supplier for european OEM partners in the last years. Therefore, TCS gained a new independent business area OEM | ODM. 

In european markets a number of market leaders are among our important OEM customers. TCS serves as Original Equipment / Design Manufacturer and supplier of system components, which are partially developed in regard to individual regional market demands. Our industry customers include, for example, the brands René Koch, Niko, Scantron, Auerswald and Schüco.

Our portfolio of communication systems covers a spectrum from simple door intercoms to complex large facilities for several hundred housing units, which we flank with control and safety concepts for residential and functional buildings. This includes, for example, PC centrals for the concierge, camera technology for area monitoring, central administered access control for a wide range of accesses and participants or system network with periphery technology, e.g. telephony, mobile telephony, IP networks or public address systems etc. In direct contact with planning offices or operators we conceptualise and produce comfort and assistant systems for the different ways of accommodation of elderly people, ranging from serviced housing in rental buildings to assisted living flats in a senior residency.

Manufactury for individual contract manufacturing

With raster individual product and finishing concepts, TCS is able to realise customer wishes according to individual formats, forms and colors for outdoor stations and software interfaces. The TCS manufactury with its brand Carus is going even further and opens all possibilities for the manufacturing of unique specimen and individual contract work in metal. System and product development

The individual development locations are structured in several competence centers and develop not only project-related and regional, but also global product platforms. The practical relevance, problem-solving strategies and the shortest possible time-to market is to the fore here. The system and product development is a cross-sectional task, which is also carried by all company divisions. With this approach we guarantee that the products and solutions developed by us are always suited to the needs and expectations of our customers. Your satisfaction is our success. 

Strong in advice and services

In Germany we have built a rock-solid reputation for service leader within the branch. In order to do justice to the reputation, TCS is not only maintaining a telephone hotline but also a regional on-site service to support the installers even after sales of the products in an optimum manner. For this reason, TCS is represented in all parts of Germany with 18 sales representatives, 2 sales agencies and 6 training centers.

One decisive approach to gain a self-concept of a service leader is to directly and at first hand recognise the customer need in a specific situation. We talk to you and ensure to have understood your problems. Afterwards we will begin to develop or select a solution, which will be the best for your individual usage. This close customer relationship differentiates TCS from others. In this way there is much being done on a daily basis for that TCS can occupy the position as service leader of the branch.

For a knowledge transfer to installers or for information meetings organised for planers and architects TCS has modern training centers at the locations of Berlin, Genthin, Triberg in the Black Forest and Sievershütten near Hamburg. In the high-quality equipped seminar rooms you will be introduced in the system and products and be informed about application possibilities under practical conditions. TCS personell is even carrying out regular trainings and specialist seminars.

Quality standard for products and processes

Maintaining the existing high quality standard is given the highest priority. From control of the incoming materials via intermediate check during the production up to the final quality control and the delivery - the quality management is always a central issue.

Every manufacturing step is documented in detail in order to be able to repeat the processes at any time. Understandable workflow processes and a well-designed resource management are a matter of course. In this respect we have set targets, e.g. sustainable economic activity and environmental consideration. The latter finds its most significant expression in our engagement to fulfill new European standards dealing with issues like energy efficiency, handling and avoidance of harmful substances, recycling capability of used materials and packing materials etc. Here, again, we are a pioneer of the branch and want to set new standards.

Tomorrow and beyond

That TCS can look back at about two decades of extraordinary dynamic business development is due to the innovativeness, persistence and energy of its employees. Without its employees, who promoted and further developed the company in the last years, this development would not have been possible.
